OUR TEAM
Our staff currently holds licenses for the Nutrient Management Consulting, Professional Fertilizer Applicator License, Professional Fertilizer Application certificate, and Pesticide Applicator license in many categories in both MD & VA. All members of the team attend continuing education courses. Our clientele consists of private landowners, state, federal, and city properties.
Jack Price
- Owner of Habitat Enhancers, Established in 2005.
Jack is the owner of Habitat Enhancers, established in 2005. More than 19 years ago in an effort to increase wildlife habitat in the family owned property in Western MD, Jack researched and planted food plots for wildlife. The results were so outstanding that Habitat Enhancers was formed. Jack has extensive experience in crop farming and farm management. He has completed courses related to agriculture and invasive plant control at Carroll Community College, Montgomery College, University of Maryland and the Extension Service. Jack is a Certified Nutrient Management Consultant, Certified Pesticide Applicator in numerous categories for both MD and VA, and holds a Professional Fertilizer Applicator License.
David Ahalt
David is the Ag Production Manager at Habitat Enhancers. David oversees daily operations by scheduling the crews, coordination with clients and manages projects in the field. He previously worked as an operations manager in residential construction for over 20 years. David has also spent his lifetime living in and around the agricultural industry in various experiences. He holds a MD Pesticide Applicator License and is working towards certification in other categories. David also owns and operates a 65 acre Beef cattle farm with his wife Amanda and two daughters in Middletown, MD. When he isn’t assisting clients at Habitat Enhancers or working cattle at his home farm, David enjoys camping and boating trips with his family.
Christian Blackburn
Christian has been a part of the team at Habitat Enhancers since 2020. Christian is proficient in all aspects of the business. He has gained experience performing multiple jobs on all types of equipment in that timeframe. Christian is also a valuable asset in our shop performing repairs and maintenance on equipment and vehicles. While working full time, he is also taking classes to work towards obtaining his welding certification.
In his free time, Christian enjoys hunting and being outdoors.
Martin Amaya
Martin began working with Habitat Enhancers in 2022 and does a great job with our conservation projects. Martin is a whiz on a Zero-Turn mower and has really caught on with weed and invasive species identification and removal.
Raul Vega
Raul joined Habitat Enhancers in 2022 and has quickly caught on to all phases of our business. Raul has an ambition to learn and is becoming a go to for our conservation and agricultural work alike. Raul has started his pursuit of the MD Pesticide Applicator License. In his spare time Raul enjoys spending time with his family.
